Teachers Appreciation Quotes
The Math department was privileged in receiving the funds to purchase two MimioVote systems that are being utilized in all grade levels this year. The data from "teacher-designed" quizzes/tests are more easily read and detailed than normal written exams. Attendance is monitored and individual responses are quickly discovered with this system which allows for more focused individual instruction. Best of all the students enjoy taking exams or quizzes in this form...which usually makes them relax and be more focused. Great investment and thanks to the Foundation for their goal in the success of the students in QISD.

Once we were lost, but now writing has been found! We received a grant to purchase a writing curriculum a few years ago. We never had one, but throughout the past few years, we were able to tweak the curriculum we purchased to help our kids be successful.

I don't know why more people do not take the time to write a grant proposal. The Education Foundation has improved our Physical Education program tremendously at D.C. Cannon and now here at A.E. Butler. We have been able to replace our worn out equipment such as new basketballs and gym mats and have implemented a Teams of Tomorrow program for our elementary students. The students of our district have definitely benefited from these grants being available.

The Quinlan Education Foundation made it possible for our 5th grade math students to received Mimio Votes. These student response systems are used daily in our Math and Science classes and the kids absolutely love using them! It has allowed 100% participation to take place. My students and I are so thankful for the Foundation and their support in improving student learning.

The Education Foundation Grant that kindergarten teachers received purchased Study Island, a computer program that enhanced the concepts and skills that were taught in our classrooms. The program helped students master the content specified in the TEKS and tested on the TAKS in grades three through 12. The kindergarten teachers are very thankful for the Education Foundation for their generosity and believe it to be very beneficial to the students.
